About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Nerdster Design website. By using the site you accept them. They do not cover any project agreement, which we set out separately in a proposal or contract before any work begins.
Using the site
You may browse the site and contact us about working together. Please don't misuse it — no attempts to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or use it unlawfully. The content, design and code on this site are ours unless stated otherwise.
Enquiries
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. We'll reply within one working day to discuss your needs. Any work proceeds only once we've agreed scope and price in writing.
Domain names
When you buy a domain through nerdster.design, you are the registered owner (registrant). We register it on your behalf with our registrar partner, Name.com, and act as technical contact so we can manage the DNS for you. Prices shown include UK VAT at 20%.
Domains renew automatically once a year at the renewal price shown when you bought them, charged to your card by Stripe about two weeks before the expiry date. You can cancel renewal at any time from the manage link in your emails; the domain stays live until its paid-up expiry date and then lapses. Once a domain is registered it cannot be refunded (registries do not allow it). If we cannot register a domain you paid for, we refund that domain in full.
If a registry price rises by more than 20%, we will email you at least 30 days before your renewal with the new price. Domain registration is also subject to Name.com's registration agreement and the relevant registry's rules (Nominet for .uk names).
DNS for domains bought here is hosted on Cloudflare in Nerdster Design's account. Nerdster Design is listed as the technical contact and operates the DNS on your behalf; you manage the records from your account page.
You remain the registrant and legal owner of the domain.
You can transfer the domain to another provider at any time. For .uk names we change the IPS tag to your new provider on request; for other endings we release the authorisation code once the registry's initial 60-day lock has passed.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" for information. We keep it accurate and available as best we can, but we don't warrant it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for losses arising from use of the site itself.
